Day 2 (29 March)
Today we drove from Picton to Christchurch. We stopped to see a fur seal colony along the way at Ohau Point, which was Liz’s only real must do of the day. There were lots of seal pups playing in the pools of water in the rocks. It was pretty amazing to see them in a natural habitat, outside of a zoo. We arrived in Christchurch to pick up our Jucy Cabana campervan and parked the car at long term lot and set out for groceries. Turns out no supermarkets are open on Good Friday. So, we wandered around until we found a Supperette for a few essentials and finally got out of town. We set up camp for first night in Springfield, which has it’s own Homer Donut. Liz and I realized we need to get much more organized with the camper set up to avoid massive time wasting and confusion. It will certainly be a cozy home for the next two weeks. I've christened her "Big Jucy".
