We look back at our pictures and artwork from New Zealand most every day. The landscapes here in Kentucky have their own charm, but aren't quite what we grew accustomed to in New Zealand. We miss looking over Lake Taupo to the mountains of Tongariro National Park and going for walks on the beaches of Gisborne after dinner.
Mostly, though, we miss the people. We were blessed to have amazing friends everywhere we went in New Zealand. Taupo and Gisborne both felt like home very quickly for us, thanks to the sense of belonging we had with the people there. It's great to be able to keep up with friends over email and Skype, but nothing quite compares to being there. We flash back often to the times we spent eating, drinking tea, walking, playing, tramping, surfing, worshipping, and working with so many dear friends.
We couldn't hope to include all the people that were so special to us, but below are a few pictures of the Kiwis that are often on our hearts and minds.
